[ he can't remember the last time someone showed him that kind of simple affection. no, that's not true, he can. when alek was younger, his hair was unruly, a mop of curls his mother would gently push out of his forehead, so that she could kiss him goodnight.

alek's sleep this evening is light. at the stirring, he starts to stretch in place, and pushes open one sleepy eye. ]

Hey. [ smile equally sleepy, he finally straightens himself into a seated position, rubbing the side of his face. ] How long was I out?

[She shakes her head as she gives him room to sit up, before stretching her leg out herself. It's not entirely his fault that her leg fell asleep, and she doesn't want him to feel like it was. She just needs to get the pins and needles sensation out of the way.]

Not long. My leg just fell asleep.

[ alek gives her a sheepish grin, since he definitely did not want to be the reason her leg fell asleep, even if she made for a very good pillow. ]
