Stefan shakes his head. A year is long enough to him, to be honest. Ninety is almost unimaginable. So much changes in a decade, let a lone a century, he can't really say he's the same person that left Chicago any more than she can - even if he just happens to be reliving a century he's already lived before.
"I think we should just make the most of it while we have it. Not worry about how long and just ... enjoy it."
Elena considers his proposition. It's almost like a weight's been lifted. There's a freedom to not worrying about the when and the where. She smiles, lifting up her orange juice as though in toast.
"To here and now?" she asks. Which is her way of agreeing, but swankier.
He nods in agreement, before shifting to lift up his own juice as well to clink it against hers. "To here and now." Which is definitely a lot better than getting bogged down in the past.
