He grins a bit at that. "I'm just a man who's accepted that you are going to have control of the remote for the evening and there's nothin' I can do about it." Not that he necessarily has a problem with it. Watching the movies with her is more fun than watching the movies themselves alone. It doesn't really matter what she picks, he's in it to spend time with her.
"You mean you're a smart man," Lena quips charmingly, a bright grin of her own in place. She lifts up the box that has the pancakes in Charlie's direction, along with the butter and syrup containers he will be needing. "And for your information, the theme of the night is comedies. The world's a crazy enough place we can put aside the horror thrillers, action adventures, and angsty films for now."
She's in the mood for a good laugh. "So we're watching the Muppets with Jason Segel."
"Of course," he says with a nod as he takes the pancakes, moving to settle on the couch comfortably, before gesturing for her to join him. "I think every day needs a little bit of Kermit and Miss Piggy."
At his gesture, she moves over to the couch, flopping gracelessly right next to him with a warm grin, her waffles in hand. "I have always been very fond of Miss Piggy. She was my first role model, you know," Lena says, and she says this very seriously, for the record. Miss Piggy is awesome on several different kinds of levels, y'all's fave could never.
Miss Piggy is rather fabulous. Charlie can at least agree with that. It also doesn't really surprise him that Lena considered her a roll model. He grins a bit at that, opening the tray with a nod.
